Hello readers, friends, clients & most definitely my grandma who is without a doubt reading this... hello & WELCOME to our blog! Yep, I said “our.”

Even though I primarily run my photography business, there’s a pretty wonderful guy I married who deserves some space on this platform of mine! For those of you who don’t know him, his name is Griffin & he has helped this business become what it is today. The cool thing is that he has seen my business grow from nothing to a full-time career for me. In this business he is my encourager, the money manager & the realist between the two of us. I will share more about our love story in a future blog post maybe.

This year in 2020 one of my goals for SBSJ is to create meaningful relationships with those who come across my website. My “about” tab up above just doesn’t cut it. I don’t want couples & families to book us just because they like or love our service or product, I want them to know our story, our life, our passions.

Whether you’re a Jesus follower, soon-to-be bride or maybe you landed here by mistake from surfing the web, enjoy our real life stories, pictures & advice on weddings. We hope to eventually have content on photography, marriage, lifestyle & OF COURSE wedding planning. A lot of photographers blog about wedding days that they’ve captured but, let’s be real, I just want to be different because if you know me, I hate blending in to the norms of life.
